Adults Serve
Christ’s Church encourages those who attend here to volunteer in
ministry—through the church, in our community, and in our world.
It is another way to grow in faith, as well as to recognize that God did
not create us simply to live our lives for ourselves. The Apostle Paul
wrote that we have been “created in Christ Jesus to do good works…”
(Ephesians 2:10 NIV), and the Apostle Peter wrote, “Each one should
use whatever gift he has received to serve others…” (1Peter
4:10 NIV)
Volunteers
in-house serve in a wide variety of ways — from helping put together
the worship services on Sunday mornings to volunteering in children’s
and student ministry, to building maintenance, hospitality, and more.
Locally, we participate in
a Day of Caring each spring and fall, working with area service organizations
to minister to others.
We
support mission work and missionaries worldwide, and encourage and help
support church family members in short term mission trips to Panama, Hong
Kong, Africa, Guatemala, to name a few. |
