Parents of elementary-age kids who attend
67 Jumpstreet receive take-home materials to use during the week as they
open conversations with their kids about spiritual things. 67 Jumpstreet
teaches Bible truths in a unique way, but it is not intended to stand
alone as the only teaching kids receive on Sunday mornings. It works hand-in-hand
with follow-up teaching presented in Kidstreet.
During Kidstreet, small class groups discuss
the Bible story presented in 67 Jumpstreet. They learn more about the
virtue shown in on the Jumpstreet stage, and memorize Bible verses. They
learn how to apply what they’ve seen and talked about in their own
lives.
Wednesday
Activities for Children—Elementary
Wednesdays during the school
year from 6:30 to 8:30, elementary age kids can participate in H2O (His
2 Own), a hands-on experience for kids in Bible learning, choir training,
and technical production. Each week, the kids at H2O discover more about
God through a Bible lesson. Then those who like to sing or be on stage
work on skills to polish their performance ability, while those who do
not like being in front of a crowd, but love techie things, can learn
how to run lights, sound and do stage design work.
Grow
in Fellowship for Children—Elementary
Because families who attend Christ’s Church come from all over the
Fort Wayne metro area, our kids don’t all go to the same grade school
or live in the same neighborhoods. Sometimes the only time they see each
other is in church on Sunday mornings.
Kid Konnection
ministry leaders take that fact of our modern-day life into account and
plan activities specifically to provide fun and friendship-building opportunities
for kids—activities such as Kids’ S.T.U.F.F. (Sharing Together
Unbelievable Fun and Food), Konnect 4 - Survivor, the Kid Konnection Lock-In,
Spring Breakout, canoe trips, or any of several other activities that
are just for fun.
